I have had this in my head for the past few nights. What if Sky Toronto was one of the trolls that Rosiepuff played cards with, and shortly after, the boys left she and Sky started dating up until she was eaten, saving Branch. Now, what if Sky didn't take Branch in at the toll tree because he was also grieving, but once they escaped, he made Branch stay with him until the bunker was built and met his approval. Once Branch was on his own, Sky would still check up on Branch. But as Branch got older, Sky would check in less frequently because of his factory.

Now think about Trolls the Beat Goes On and all the interactions with Branch. What if that was Sky's way of trying to reconnect with him and show that he wants to help Branch be a troll again. I mean, why else would Sky give Branch all that wrapping paper for years while he was gray and not interacting with anyone. Also, why would Sky want to put his vacation home so close to Branch when there was literally anywhere else in the forest he could choose.
