How to build a hand to hand Khajiit.
Here's a fun Skyrim build I first started to fuck around with, and it turned out to be unreasonably good. >Be a Khajiit. They have a passive bonus of 15 points to hand to hand attacks. >Focus on heavy armor, enchanting, smithing, restoration, and alteration. >Go 50/30/20 on your investments on health, magicka, and stamina per 10 levels. >Get the perk on the heavy armor's left side that give your hand to hand attacks a boost based on the armor of your gauntlets. (Max the base heavy armor perk, ASAP, it will further the effect of this) >Make a rush for Riften, get the gloves of the Pugilist. Immediately disenchant, and put them on some heavy gauntlets, you don't want any light armor ruining your levels. At first, it will suck, but as you invest in enchanting, it will get much better. >Start fights with an alteration spell in your left hand, switch to restoration once the fight starts. >ALWAYS keep a spell in your left hand. There is no reason to go two-fisted. You don't attack faster, and it doesn't benefit from the perks. >Don't power attack, it doesn't do enough bonus damage, or benefit from perks. Swinging quickly does the trick. >Smith yourself the best armor you can as often as possible. >Throw some soul-trapping in there (spell only) to help your enchanting along. >Invest heavily in enchanting, smithing, and heavy armor until your restoration needs a boost. Do alteration when you can, but it is really supplemental. >Don't bother with the side perks for alteration, they are all focused on mages that don't wear armor. Put those points in the restoration stuff (Respite is a good idea, you will be doing a lot of running) >Get that enchantment up, give yourself boosts to hand to hand, heavy armor, health, resistances, and whatever you feel you need (likely leaning towards the magicka/regeneration side) >The Lady Stone is your best bet, after you Warrior yourself a few, easy levels. >No, no sheilds. Block is for pussies. >No, any ranged shit will ruin the purity of the character. >No, sneaking doesn't help. >No, destruction is lame. >No, conjuration isn't worth your time (besides soul-trap) >Yes, a follower may be a good idea in the later levels. >Yes, you will be one and two shotting people for a very good length of time. >No, dragons aren't a problem, you're way too beefy. What you end up with is a surprisingly powerful character who deals damage, has few weaknesses, and has very controllable leveling. (You only level up when you invest time into smithing, enchanting, and the occasional alteration spam session) It's surprisingly fun. Early game, you do much more damage than the average character. Late game, you can still keep up if you stay competitive with the enchanting/smithing. If you're feeling ballsy, the Dawnguard expansion introduced a ring to the vampire side that makes "Your claw attacks do 20 more damage." I haven't yet tested to see if this works on Khajiits, or just in Vampire Lord mode. No, I don't have screenshots, I play it on the 360 and am quite sick of shitty, phone pictures of such a beautiful game.
