Hi I just had a question.. I saw this in another post but I thought I’d ask you? Lol There was a picture of bugs in a jar you could collect around Skyrim. I’ve never seen one! (I don’t think). Would you happen to know where they are?
They’re simply know as Skyrim Bug Jars, and there are 5 of them total. Butterfly, Bee, Dragonfly, Torch Bug, and Moth. Each one is alone in their respective jars, and on the inside of the lid, they have “strange” carvings. Many theories have been posted as to why these jars exists and what the runes mean.
Apparently though, one article has explained that the developers themselves came forward and stated that the jars are absolutely useless. They may have been a part of a scrapped quest, or just a prank. They are still cool though to collect and display in your home. Many house mods contain a special container for you to display them in!
If you need help finding each, this article explains where each of them are located. Really though, it is much more fun to stumble across them by accident instead of hunting them down in my opinion. Hope this helps!
