(to preface, I'm sure that over the course of this fandom's life these characters have been headcanoned to be in a friend group before i did, but i'm like 99.999% that I came up with the group name !! and i'm ready to spread the content bc all of them (well most) are super underrated characters)
the moonstones are a friend group consisting of Xeno, Aurora, Pandora, and Sybill
𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕙𝕔𝕤?
here are just a few moonstones headcanons, I will totally make posts for each character + more eventually!!
Sybill and Pandora used to not like each other much due to them both having ‘the sight.’ Pandora didn’t like Sybill because she seemed to be proud of having the sight, and Sybill didn’t like Pandora because she seemed to be afraid of something that Sybill found wonderful
Sybill was proud of having visions because she had finally found a way to be different from her family, who they wanted her to be, and the conformity that they pushed onto her for being ‘too weird’
But as she got older, she had more and more visions of bad things happening, and she finally understood why Pandora hadn’t liked her at first, for boasting about it
Sybill and Pandora were Ravenclaw roommates with Emmeline Vance
Around the end of their third year Sybill and Pandora finally stopped competing and by their fourth year they were practically inseparable!
Sybill was already best friends with Xeno, who she had met on the first train ride to Hogwarts. They had instantly clicked and had bonded over their shared love of storytelling and myths, which in their opinion the latter was very much real in most cases.
Pandora also clicked with their group, and they became pretty much attached at the hip
During this time, Pandora had been friends with a Slytherin named Aurora Sinistra. They had met back in second year when they were paired up for an assignment in Astronomy, and while their opposing views were agitating at first, they quickly became fascinated with the other.
Like in a “oh I like the way you think, let me study your brain to see how it works” kind of way for both of them
Once Pandora became friends with Xeno and Sybill, Aurora also got added into the group.
They were among the smartest students in Hogwarts, if not the smartest, but in their own ways
Aurora was calculating, careful, but also genius. She could solve logic puzzles faster than anyone you’ve ever known
Pandora was curious and always asked questions. She wanted to know how everything worked, down to the last gear or cog
Xenophilius was creative, always coming up with new ideas for inventions or stories or anything. He always asked the questions in class that made you think “how come no one else thought of this?”
Sybill was able to memorize things from hearing or seeing it once or twice in her life. Everyone around her always thought that it was some sort of magic, or part of her sight. But in reality she had an amazing eidetic memory
