21. How much do they prioritize their own survival, and what lengths would they go to for self-preservation?

Going Mizar with this one cause ya didnt specify and he popped in my head first.

For Lord Mizar he is usually extremely attentive to what happens around him and in his dimension. That he keeps his Star in his chest should be proof enough that he wants to keep his power close.

He has, however, had manic episodes where the fact that he's so alone overwhelms him. After all the hurt and pain he's caused, it'd only be fitting for him to die alone and unloved. He knows he's a monster and that he should be dealt with like one, why not go out biting and snarling like one too? It's why it's taken him so long to process that Alcor actually, genuinely cares for him. That even being possible is already baffling enough to him, especially with what he's done.

But when he's mentally stable is also when paranoia shadows his every thought. His body and armor is made up of an alloy of the toughest materials across dimensions. Any Star he's collected, every powerful item or weapon is hidden away in a vault. Anyone who dares enter his dimension is directed to his castle where he can confront them directly, even if it's bit him in the butt more times than he can count. Anyone who tried to interact with and corrupt his main servant were killed. These are the lengths he's gone to for self-preservation. Control is what keeps him safe and alive. He's seen what's happened to Eclipse's in other dimensions and has no doubt he would've had the same fate if not for the precautions he's taken. That and the Star, of course.

25. What's the worst physical or mental pain they've ever endured?

Alcor, physical pain:

Alcor has endured many, many moments of different levels of excruciating pain. Mizar literally built a machine specifically made to repair Alcor after all. But his second death where Mizar (accidentally) burned him to death is definitely high on his list of worst experiences ever.

It was just supposed to be the usual terrorize-his-servant part of the evening. He didn't have any interest in hearing Alcor whine and cry for once so off his voice box went and there he went into a nice little circle of fire. Apparently it was just the slightest bit too hot but Mizar was too entranced. Clothes burned and the softer parts of his servant melted, slowly. Only after Alcor had collapsed in pure agony did the Lord step in.

Lord Mizar, mental pain:

This might come as a surprise but Mizar's worst mental pain is still his separation from Moon, at least that's what he would say. Second on the list would... likely be from the end of The Before era (won't go into detail cause don't feel like adding a bunch of tw tags).

Moon leaving him in Old Sun's body is what's led to many of the decisions he's made for centuries. The anger and fear of being tossed to the side from someone he thought he was close to has been a major influence. He was a part of Moon, they suffered together, they hated Sun together. Being cut off and left to rot in the body of their tormentor hurt, a lot.

Angel sneaking into the Star room with less than pleasant intentions. Aka the place where Mizar keeps all of his stars from different dimensions. Of course he tried to use one to no success. And now the room is protected behind a magical barrier so getting in is nearly impossible at this point... ya snooze ya lose.
