TripleThreat – Swords, lances, or axes?
Ooh, tough... I’ve become kind of an axe girl lately, but it’s really hard to answer in general? I think it depends on the game, due to like specific weapon availability and the quality of attack animations. But I’ll go with axes.
I was also asked to do challenge mode with this by bringing in the magic triangle and also the range triangle from fe14, and in that case I think I’ll go with light magic and shurikens.
Aether-Favorite lord?
Oh, this is hard... Eirika was my first, and I do still love her, so I think I might just default to her because this is so hard.
InspiringSong – Favorite song(s) from the series?
Okay, so because I’m a massive slut for video game music I’m gonna choose a couple from every game I’ve played for at least a little bit.
FE8: Truth, Despair, and Hope is fantastic, Treasured Memories is nice to think of as a theme for for Eirika and also sounds kinda Chrono Trigger-ish to me, the combat preparation music is some of the best in the series, and of course the recruitment theme is legendary.
FE7: I would legitimately become an assassin to get a good official remix of Softly With Grace.
FE12: Dark Emperor Hardin is a great boss theme, One Who Carves a New History is a nice map theme, and Seeking the Legend (which plays during start-of-chapter narration for a little while) is really surprisingly gorgeous, although unfortunately nobody’s ever extended it. Also, I just discovered Friend and it’s really pretty (and vaguely Wild Arms-ish) so that too.
FE13: Id ~ Purpose and “Don’t speak her name” are obviously iconic and I don’t need to link them, but similarly iconic are Conquest (Ablaze) and Destiny (Ablaze). Going beyond map themes, “You have power... like mine.” and “You may call me Marth.” and “Dry your tears, love. This is not good-bye.” are really important too, and also, the entire Id suite in general? Awakening was so good man
FE14: The whole thing is really good, including just about every map theme, but I want to draw special attention to Knowledge (Roar), Glory/Ruin, Past Below (Flow), Those Who Visit, and Premonition.

Honestly what I fear the most right now is the new game coming out in 2018. They didn't show any details for it but I already have a hunch that it's not gonna be much better than Fates since IS has already decided who their target audience is now.
tbh i have the same fear but im hoping nintendo actually tells IS to roll back on the nasty shit now bc of the huge backlash they got over......so many things. esp now that theyre trying to have fire emblem appeal to the global market now.
like fire emblem heroes is a success. the only fanservice is shitty armor design. i feel the success of Echos is also going to effect this...like if Echoes does very well this tells nintendo that they dont need that shit garbage to sell fire emblem.
