Funny story: I've been a fan of Ian for over a decade. I fell in love with his art in Skyworld and with his character Makabo, the COOLEST TIKBALANG CHARACTER TO EVER EXIST.

He kind of sparked my love for Tikbalang. Having him do art of my characters was a dream come true✨

Also my absolutely unsubtle crush on Makabo only made our friendship stronger

He works for LEGO now as a Senior Concept Artist~

Art of a skyship I designed based upon this post by @trumoi. I was really inspired by the concept and wanted to make something for this setting myself! I've been calling this ship the Anomalocaris, since radiodont bodyplans were the main inspiration for the general shape. The symbol on the tail fin is an Eyemonk rune that reads "hunter".

These are the crew: captain Joanna Hollander is missing her left eye and parts of her left leg and right arm as a result of a curse that causes her to slowly fade away. As she fades physically, she also becomes more and more detached from reality, causing her to not feel emotions as strongly as before. She turned to hunting sky leviathans for the thrill of it, to try and regain some of her emotions. The patch on her shoulder has the alchemical symbol for mercury, which is also a symbol for volatility. She is joined by her childhood friend Cyrus, professional walking enby shirtless scene, and Zepha, the Eyemonk wind mage. The runes on his tabard read "ride the tempest".
