’95 Bad Boy Logo- @skyzoothewriter and @tuamie_ teamed up to give me life with this one. Seriously giving me that golden era vibe in lyrical and musical content. Growing up in that Bad Boy era is like what @myfabolouslife said about the 90’s in “Everything Was The Same” … “You had to be there…” Sky honestly captured the concept better than anything I could articulate. Life was so different. We were the happiest in times where people didn’t want us to be. We were driven to do the impossible when people expected us to be laid back. We poured our hearts into our culture because we understood what we were representing. For Real(er)- @skyzoothewriter touched me with this one. You can connect to people through some crazy diagonals, sometimes. But I digress... Skyzoo gives you that raw when he spits about how just when you hit that real, how it can explode into something even realer. Sky’s checking for the real listeners on this one. The ones who catch those frisbees on the rewind. And he’s the one who worked or the track for this; which, personally, makes it one of my favorites. Let It Fly- @skyzoothewriter brought me back with this one. Loved the movie Belly and still do. So, to take me back to a goodie and flip it the way he did is #EPIC. @illmindproducer paved the blissful journey for this one too. Finesse Everything- @skyzoothewriter hits us with another amazing track selection from @illmindproducer. Illmind has a way of putting a spotlight on an artist when he creates a beat and this one had Skyzoo straight #SHINING! And he went in… aura blazing! Love when an artist can get off his humble for a second and just floss their skill and Sky did just that with this one. If you can cash the check, you might as well write one out every now and then. Doing Something- @apollbrown and @skyzoothewriter are a favorite tag team for me when it comes to that pure hip hop sound. Apollo Brown keeps me checking for him because of his work ethic. He once said, “Everything I make, I try to make it my favorite album of all time.” You can hear it in every track, my friend… every single one. Blends so well with Sky’s theme in #DoingSomething, as he spits about the grind and who you plan your grind with. It’s one thing to have that plan; but executing and implementing a plan is a precise science. Bamboo- @skyzoothewriter slips into this crazy smooth jazzy @marcnfinit track with some of the roughest and realest lyrics which creates an audible juxtaposition that just works. Skyzoo digs into a gritty reality and draws a picture that explodes in your mind like a movie. The streets played a special part in my life because I was able to see some of what they could do to people… but from a distance. Sky paints his portrait of these streets from the frontline. Hope you enjoy the journey. #SkyzooSunday Short Money- Love the start of #PeddlerThemes… @skyzoothewriter has a way of building a project out. And starting with #ShortMoney was pure genius. Skyzoo breaks down an all too common reality. Dreams are fed to you at first… whether you choose to see it that way or not. It’s your life, environment, and character- (yours and that of the people around you) that help to determine if you separate from the collective mindset and start dreaming for yourself. Most of us do as we grow, watch, and learn.
