There should be a “it’s Good Enough” movement. We buy items that are mass produced yet, we want to feel we are individuals of distinction. We look for products that separate us from the herd. Yet, we at times can’t find what we want from manufactures. One designer may make a case for an iPhone to look like a book, but it is not quite right. So, for those of us who had adequate skills make our items. We make things knowing we are not in the 10,000 hour mark of creating items with skill. It’s good enough. The act of problem solving and creating makes us happy. This is my latest item. A wooden case for my Anker Soundcore. Remember when high end speakers were made of wood? I do. Repurposed Spanish cedar from Padron cigar boxes I had in my house, I took the time to make this custom case. About 5 hours. I left the gouges on top where my dremel skipped.
