1. Favorite way to cook pasta.
In the form of macaroni & cheese. Always. Preferably with shapes of cartoon characters I love.
2. Tell the story of your first kiss.
I was dating this boy in middle school, and we were celebrating his birthday at a laser tag place. After a lovely time of laser tagging, and trying to find a moment to be alone with him (because face it, a first kiss during an intense laser tag battle in a darkened room with a bunch of people shooting at you is totally romantic) I realized it wasn't going to happen; I had forgotten that he was a 12 year old boy playing laser tag with his friends and totally had other things on his mind than kissing. So afterwards his mom drove me home, and he walked me to the door of my house, and we hugged and then we turned toward each other and did a little peck on the lips. I then went inside and was extremely smiley and jumpy for the rest of the evening. It was actually pretty sweet.
3. Favorite oddly specific book genre.
Post-apocalyptic steam-punk magic fantasy.
4. Where would you like to visit in the world?
Prague. I have a burning desire to go to Prague and for the life of me I do not know why.
5. What do you want your last view to be before you drop dead?
A large family with, like, little great-grand-babies and shit.
6. Favorite feature of the human form.
I am endlessly fascinated with eye pupils, though I'm not too fond of the word.
7. What light source are you partial to?
Moon and stars, candles, lanterns.
8. What is the last thing you purchased from the medicine aisle/department what-have-you?
9. What award/recognition are you most proud of?
I made the Dean's list every semester of college except for the one where I studied abroad! Because I was abroad and grades didn't count. Also I am proud of my "4.0 for all two years of junior high" award.
10. Something you regret not doing.
I regret not looking at more schools for college when I was originally deciding back in high school. I feel like I could have avoided a world of hurt.
11. How do you deal with loss?
I'm actually... pretty good at dealing with it? Unless it's a romantic issue, I get over loss really quickly because whatever is not actively in my life is not meant to be there. When my smartphone got stolen, it took me 3.4 seconds to shrug my shoulders and think " Wow, some people are rude, but hey now I don't have to be bogged down by the constant pressure of electronic communication!" When my grandpa died, it took me a day to start thinking "I bet he's super happy in heaven, no point in being selfishly sad."
But if it's romantic loss I actually prefer wallowing in despair for extended periods of time because I want to be dramatic and I need a good excuse to be sad sometimes and obviously it was true love.
