Ty Segall Band-Slaughterhouse(Album Review)
Ty Segall Band is an garage punk/Noise rock band founded by Ty Segall who has play in many other rock bands and released four solo LP's prior to this. The four piece band's debut release ''Slaughterhouse'' is a very solid album. The album for the most part has a hard edged muddily produced sound, it sounds much like the cover looks dark and a bit stoned out. Starting with the first track ''Death'' which begins with noisy guitar feed back sounds and ending with the track ''Fuzz War'' which is exactly what it sounds like ten minutes of fuzzy noise. This album isn't only catchy distortion though there are elements of space rock that bands like Pink Floyd and Hawkwind spear headed. ''Wave Goodbye'' really show bands knack for instrumental passages within their tracks as well just great attention to detail and musicianship.
The album as whole definitely has replay value. It seems lately there hasn't been a shortage of great garage and punk music and this albums another worthy of picking up. Check it out!
