Idk what stage of insanity it is, but today I had a dream where I cracked 18 eggs and decided not to tell myself what I was going to do with them until I'm done. So, a couple of times my body was trying to wake me up but I ditched every attempt because I really wanted to see what the fuck second me was cooking.
Turned out, that other-me fool was making whip cream out of the eggs. But they put way too little sugar and butter for this much eggs, so I tried to stop them before they make a sad but sweet excuse of a fried eggs instead of what they originally wanted.
And then I woke up.
Not sure about the whole "two me" thing but I'm surely pissed that that freak kicked me out of my own dream when I was trying to help
I've never realised that many atla fans thinks of Zuko as a grown man??
Like, come on, he's 16. He's a child, just like basically every main character in the series (sure, he's the oldest child, but still a child). If you tell me that he's acting like an adult then... Have we watched the same show??
All of the main characters act immature from time to time - that's because they're children, who had to take a lot of responsibility due to terrible circumstances, and Zuko isn't an exception. It's so weird that some people look at him and go "Yeah that's an adult over here".
Hey, so I know we're all terrified of Sherlock going chasing the waterfall and we're all theorising when it'll happen and how will John and Marianna react, but I'm more curious about what'll happen after.
I'll go on a little rant here, so to make your scrolling a bit nicer
Obviously, the podcast won't end at Sherlock and Moriarty killing themselves, but I'm so curious how it'll after that, since The final problem is such a huge deal in any SH adaptation, and that's basically what most of the people are anticipating for, and after that?
There's three routes I see it'll go:
1) Adventures with the rest of the stories, that weren't previously adapted.
It seems like one of the most logical from the capitalist's perspective, since more content for one successful thing -> more money, but I feel like many people are going to stop listening to podcast some time after The Final Problem, since there's no big scary fake death plot going on.
Which leads me to another possibility:
2) "Hey Sherlock, remember that dog you really loved when you were a child? Turnes out it was your very human bestie, who was killed by your secret sisters, who is currently trapped in mental asylum, and while she was there she puppeteered Moriarty, and she also directed your and John's meeting so she can poison you with Archie's frats-"
Okay, that was a little bit overdramatic and I really don't think Sherlock and Co will follow the same path as Sherlock bbc did with this bullshit secret mad genius sister plot.
The point is, that after Moriarty is dead (or "dead"), we'll get a new big bad (or old big bad) who have to be defeated, so we can keep the listener's interest, while keep making money from this specific project.
And the last one is...
3) Happy ever after.
After the Reichenbach, we'll get one or two new adventures (maybe one of them will be about John and Marianna trying to uncover what happened with Sherlock and that's how they'll find out he's alive?👀 I think that'll be great) and some patreon specials, and John will decide to stop podcasting for one reason or another, and three of them will go towards the sunset, the end.
Personally, that's the result I'm rooting the most. Even though I really love this podcast, I think it'll be better for the story to come to the end after Moriarty is dead and Sherlock is back. It's sad, but I don't want to see the podcast being continued purely for being milked to it's death. Of course, there's a chance Sherlock and Co authors will come up with an interesting big plot after the Waterfall, but I'm not really used to trusting things like that.
I'm currently watching 2d episode of the mighty nein animated show with no previous knowledge of the campaign's plot with my friend, who've been in this fandom for a while.
(❗spoilers for critical role campaign 2❗ig. Not sure if I have to put it for something that have been out for almost a decade, but better safe than sorry)
This dialogue happened.
Me: Oh, hey, it's Molly! (<- i know him bc my friend sent me a very huge amount of ship art with this guy and Caleb)
My friend: yep, that's him. Btw, don't get attached, he'll die soon.
I beg my greatest pardon??? I'm not even mad for being spoiled something that important, knowing how fast I fall into hyperfixations and seeing all of the signs with tm9 I'd spoil it for myself either way, but this man refused (and still refuses) to even hint if I got anything right when I try to predict any of the character's backstories or if any other character won't survive till the finale, because, quote, "I want you to have a unique experience to see the story not knowing what will happen to them." On the following question why he told me about Molly, he went like "well, knowing your favourite character's type, I figured it'd be a dick move to let you grow attached to him".
I mean, it was sweet that he wanted to warn me, but in the order to save me from trauma he shouldn't have show me the tm9 in the first place.
See you on the next episode, and in the meantime I'll try my best to learn how to live with this information haha
I have an extremely bad insomnia and I usually put some white noise on background, like 10h long rain sounds or some shit like that.
Because YouTube sucks and tends to put random 20 unskippable ads every 2 minutes I usually listen to those infinity live streams, and today I did something I've never done before: I went to read what people write in chat.
The first thing I've read was "please call 911".
Apparently, someone wrote crying emojis and when they were asked what was wrong, they started asking for help and someone to call the emergency number. People, naturally started to wander wtf is happening, and some asked them to say their address. The "Help me" person wrote it, and, immediately after texted "I'm lying 🙂"
And now I can't fall asleep, not only because of my unmedicated adhd and anxiety, but also bc what the fuck just happened. Like, if the person was just fucking around, why would they joke about something serious like that? Is this my too woke opinion moment? And if this person legitimately needed help, then what happened? Why would they ask for help on asmr stream? Or I'm just trying to preserve what's left of my hope for humanity? Is this the lengths some will go just to get attention? And why, out of all places, they choose ASMR stream?
I have so many questions.
Anyway, it's 6 am, my brain refuses to process this bullshit. Goodnight people
I was born in russia and at the age of fifteenth I moved to another country. For 8,5 I've been raised in russian educational system, and changing countries really showed me how much our education changes us as people. So, my little ramble about my experience.
The thing about russian educational system is, that it isn't encouraging independent and critical thinking. It's really subtle, and people who're inside of this system usually do not notice that. Heck, I didn't notice it until teacher in my new school pointed out that in my opinion essays I usually tend to write with very generic phrases, like I was trying to guess what the teacher wants to hear from me, leaving my actual opinion somewhere inside. I was really surprised, bc wdym I didn't write my opinion, I very much did, but then I reread my essay with my teacher's words in mind and I realised that yeah, she's right. After that, every time I'd get a task like that I always catch myself trying to guess what opinion my teacher wants to hear from me.
When you taught from the young age that individual thinking is wrong, and it's more important to try and guess what the person above you wants to hear, you're slowly loosing the ability to think for yourself and form your own opinion, and you're not even noticing that. Relearning is really hard, and it requires a lot of self awareness and time, and the course that Russian politics has chosen doesn't make it any easier. I can't even imagine how much damage it did to my generation and how much worse it became for those who comes after me, where not only you need to stop thinking for yourself, but also you're told that killing people in a war for sake of your president's goals.
