In case you were still curious I can give you a bit more detailed retelling of what happened with slave-suggestion. The made a fake identity as a trans person named Alex, fake committed suicide, then started posting 'from the hospital' saying they got a bad blood transfusion and had 3 days to live. A few hours later they came back online posing as a friend of theirs saying they'd been injected with euthanasia voluntarily. They later said they faked all of it and that they're 'sorry.'

New Mod PSA:

I got an anon asking me if I (the new mod) agreed with what everyone has been saying in the sense of “Alex” doing this all for attention. I’m not answering the anon directly since I’m on mobile and posting all three messages would clog the blog up so I thought it would be good to just make a PSA about this so let me say a few things.

I do not excuse “Alex” for what they did just because they had bpd and other mental illnesses. Mental illness does not excuse a person for their toxic, shitty, abusive, and manipulative behavior. Using that mental illness to garner sympathy is a form of manipulation and attention-seeking.

“Alex” did this all for attention and I know you think me saying that is “ableist” but there’s no other reason why they did it. Their mental illness didn’t make them do all of this; it may have fuelled the fire but it wasn’t the thing that ultimately made their decision to:

Fake their own death.

Fake being transgender.

Manipulate others into getting sympathy and attention.

Fake an entire identity.

Pretend to be someone else completely on their own blog moments after their “death”.

Attack others with general malicious speech once they were found out.

It’s not good to excuse someone’s abusive and manipulative behaviors based on the fact that they have mental illness. Doing so empowers their abuse. I myself (the new mod) have lots of mental illnesses (not just AsPD) and I’d never use my mental illness as an excuse to do anything “Alex” has done.

And before anyone says anything about me being “ableist”: I’ve been abused before by someone who claimed their bipolar, PTSD, and depression made them how they were. They beat me up on a daily basis and abused me. Their mental illness didn’t make them abuse me; they abused me because they felt like abusing me. Thus, a prime example of how you can’t excuse someone based on their mental illness(es).

Those are my two cents on it. Call me ableist all you want for not putting up with someone’s manipulative and toxic behavior or excusing them based on a few mental illnesses.

I think that what they did was wrong and hurt a lot of people, however, I don’t think they should actually die or cause harm to themselves. I just think that this person needs to become a little more mature and realize you can hurt people greatly and faking your death is a bad thing to do. You must remember that slave-suggestions is a CHILD. A fourteen year old child. I don’t think they should try and come back to the community again though, I think that would be problematic.

I didn't say anything about slave-suggestion, and I feel bad. The thing is, I don't tend to be liked on the internet. I'm too left for the right-wingers and even people in the middle, but not left enough for the majority of tumblr. I've been ostracised and I've lost friends for my opinions. I'm not in an internet community because of this. I keep waiting for a callout post for xsuggestion, where I'll be kicked out of the suggestion community too - not that I'm really in it. I have no friends here. As soon as I heard about slave-suggestion, it was apparent to me the whole thing was a lie. But I didn't want to say anything and have a whole gang of people after me; something that has happened before. I was cowardly, and I'm sorry.

Yeah, I think it’s vile. Just lying about it is disgusting and very low, and apparently they also defended themselves and insulted others? And said it was because of being otherkin? But I never saw the actual posts, so I don’t know. Hence I’d really like it if someone could either link me to a reblog, or a screenshot, or archive, or...

I will say that they clearly have big issues they need to work out, and they should talk to someone about that.

Update:

An anon who actually knew the original mod to slave-suggestion, “Alex”, messaged me and told me to paraphrase their message:

The hospital band is from when “Alex” was hospitalized in march for a suicide attempt.

The selfie isn’t an ex-friend, it IS “Alex” so “Alex” was lying about that.

As far as they know, this whole stint was a one person thing (which makes sense because “Alex” later admitted it was all just him doing it).

“Alex” has pretty much tried to steal their identity before (copying sexuality, gender, names, kins, etc.)

Has stolen their stuff and destroyed some of their property.
