it wasn't meant to line up this nicely (i'm incapable of following those cool prompt lists) but what yall must understand about witch!gourry is that he is, above all else, the biggest himbo to ever walk the land. he's absolutely a man with not a single spell memorized. he dresses like he walked into the slutty costume section of a spirit halloween and thought, "ah, finally, THIS is how magic users dress." magic works for him because the spirits think he's dreamy and he's nice about asking them to do things. there isn't a thought in this mans head that can't be dropped at a moments notice.

lina, meanwhile, is a tiny but fierce swordswoman who just does not know what to do with this fop, but he's the most interesting thing to cross her path since she left home, so by god she's going to follow him
