on the topic of shaid (and eli), i really really love that on the way to arbor refinery in act 2, shaid reacts to chase’s assumption that eli’s a friend of hers by saying “hey, i never said we were friends.” neither a confirmation nor a denial. meanwhile, if you play as eli in act 2, he just casually says that shaid’s a friend of his when he introduces himself to skudd. he doesn’t call shaid his “associate” or his “colleague” or whatever. he says “a friend of mine named shaid.” and well i just think that’s neat.
