Any tips on getting “perfect” for secret trysts? I’m constantly getting good and I can’t memorize which allies beat which.

Yep!

The best way to ensure you always win is to just increase your own item score. If you find you’re losing more than winning, its time to start focusing on getting items. Even the ones you can purchase using coins in the item store.

There are two ways to help you out, though.

Number one is to click the ‘change’ button on your allies. You want allies with high item scores, because 1/5 of their points is added to you in trysts.

You can sift through by clicking that drop down menu that says ‘allies only’ and choosing to present you with the highest item score available.

This will bring up a list from highest score down and you can choose who you take on trysts based on this. This will help a lot when cooking.

The second way is to then click on the ‘change’ button of your rival.

This one is more tricky and isn’t an exact science, and you need to be able to recognize articles of clothing on the avatar and how old they are.

Obviously, avatars donned with the newest items and hairstyles and makeup are most likely going to have high item scores as they’re active players.

You want to look for avatars with older items, barely any items (some naked, though be careful because sometimes high ranking players do this to purposefully trick you), or with 0 love points.

With this list as an example, out of all of these I would choose the top one as an opponent.

It’s using the base-game hair. The makeup is rather old and against, say, the third down there who has the EC hair from the last event and also new makeup you can assume the item score is much higher as they are an active player. The fact that the love points are also at 0 despite the event starting is also a big indicator that the person may just be a casual player. So all signs point to a win on your end.

I would say if you’re planning on ranking, be prepared to spend money even if you have saved up tons of resources. There’s nothing worse than reaching the end of an event and you’ve sunk all of your saved hearts and pearls into it only to find that the last fever has you 40 places from the tier you’re going for. So plan to be able to toss some money at the last minute if you need to so you didn’t waste all of your stuff for nothing.

If you’re unable to pad with money but desperately want to rank, its a good practice to wait until the end of the event. Play as you normally do and the last two hours take a look at the ranking numbers and do some math to calculate if you have enough resources to comfortably fit yourself within 40 spots from the cut off tier. If you do have enough resources, go for it!

Try and gather as many other ranking/high LP allies as you can so you can farm during the event to help bolster your LP. If you’re ranking anyway it’s a good practice to do this. If you have a big cushion in your overall LP thanks to other high ranking allies then you can repeat events cooking 7k at a time and stocking up on the 10hearts (and closet space) they give you in the routes and recycle those back into the event. I’ve had events where I’ve repeated single stories sometimes 30+ times and that equates to a loooot of hearts added to your inventory. With the addition of the ability to fast tap through the stories it takes only a few minutes to farm through ES now which is awesome and so helpful.

To get the best allies you should cook a lot right at that first 2hr fever. If I’m not distracted or being lazy I usually read all of the stories in the first two hours and cook at least 50k in the first 2hrs, other rankers will see your high points and in turn want to be allies. You could also change your name in the game to let allies you request know you’re serious. That’s why you’ll see people with i.e. JemmaT100 as their name.

Always study the fever times and double check there are no triple fevers in the event. A triple fever can and will fuck you over in ranking. The numbers for ranking will usually double if not triple or more when a triple fever is introduced. So if you see a triple fever, do not cook off your supplies until that fever hits!!! Or you won’t rank for what you are going for.

If you’re interested in being a regular ranker study the names of the people you commonly see in the rankings and the helpful allies you get. Be nice and send a thanks or hello in their castle walls and you’ll eventually build friendships. I know when I’m ranking I log into an event and have requests from my ranking friends who I know I can rely on and they know they can rely on me. If they send me a request and I’m not planning on ranking I usually send them a message to let them know because ranking regularly is taxing and for the reason I mentioned above with event farming, you need the strongest people on your team to make it easier to replenish and bolster your hearts. If you’re friendly enough you’ll get to a point where it doesn’t matter if you have a few hiatus weeks from ranking, they’ll still take you as a regular ally and expect the same from you when they take a hiatus.

It is! You’ll get a few pearls rather quickly in the upcoming battle event. You also have the option to spin the castle lottery using your coins for a chance to win pearls. I do that a lot when I need a pearl boost.

Another option is to serve your onigiri to lords in the tea garden. They have chapter tickets and pearls among a few other things as prizes.

Last option is to visit all of your allies every day and hope perhaps you’ll get a pearl from the visit!

Hello! I saw your last post about ranking advice. I’ve been playing for a year now and have hoarded about 1500 energy hearts. How many do you think I would need to use to rank? Would I have enough not to have to use pearls?

It honestly depends on the event, the chibis, and whether or not there will be a 3x fever. But for the most part yes, that should be enough to get you into a top tier ranking.

If you’re thinking about ranking but are unsure if your hearts are enough, you’re gonna have to do some math lol. And use some strategy.

Play the event normally and on the last fever, look through the top 100 and if you calculate cooking with 2500point perfects (give or take a bit of leniency in case you get a random good here and there) x how ever much you can cook with your heart reserves and that total number puts you in around the 70s or higher, you could go for it and most likely be safe.

Watch the numbers, watch how aggressively the ranking changes the closer you are to #100 (and the closer to event end it gets). Play smart, plan, and you should be able to rank without much worry!

Hello, what are your tips to get into the top 100 during events? As much as possible i don't wanna spend pearls, it's just a last resort haha

If you don’t want to buy pearls, the only thing you can do to get in T100 is used your saved items. Visit your allies daily for a chance at pearls, farm the castle lotteries, serve your onigiri, and save your 10x hearts from story events until you have enough to rank for what you really want to rank for.

Pay attention to fever times, and if there is a triple fever save your resources until that hits. Get allies that will also be taking you on trysts. That’s about it!
