I think the expression on Bob Rivers' face says it all. 

I regret hearing this piece of shit this morning. I had a really great time the other night at the THRACKY Horror Picture Show & this garbage actually made me wish I was still sitting through the abortion that was "Cool As Ice" all over again.

I mean, I respect what this guy's doing. Okay, maybe "respect" is too strong a word. I appreciate what he's doing. No. That's not true either.

Alright. He's putting something out there, which is somewhat admirable. SOMEWHAT. 

If there's a positive that can come out of this, it's that his singing isn't nearly as flat as Robert Plant's on the original. And I'm not that big a fan of the original to begin with.

But this thing just goes on & on. It's kind of unbearable, waiting to hear what kind of Santa/Xmas-themed lyrics he's about to sneak in. 

EMBARRASSING! That's the word I was looking for earlier. Embarrassing. Like when your uncle is so drunk at the Xmas party that he doesn't realize he's flirting with your wife, while his dong is out the whole time.*

Anyhoo, this song sucks. And although I was vacillating between THIS & "Yuletide Zeppelin," I actually find myself digging Yuletide Zeppelin more, since it's not just goofy, rejiggered lyrics, but actually some interesting twisting of some of Page's best licks.

Also, SLED Zeppelin?!? No offense, Bob. But I hope your Xmas tree catches on fire & you die in the blaze. I also hope your family is there to witness it.

Yeah, that's harsh. And maybe I don't actually mean that. (Of COURSE I don't.) But when I hear parody songs this time of year, it actually makes me MORE grumpy.

On that note, HAPPY HOLIDAYS/MERRY CHRISTMAS/WHATEVER SEASONAL GREETING DOESN'T OFFEND YOU, EVERYBODY!
