After Venom's sacrifice, Eddie tries to return to his normal life while dealing with the loss of his beloved symbiote. However, strange symptoms appear in Eddie's body, revealing that Venom left something in Eddie: A new symbiote is developing in Eddie's body, this news scares Eddie fearing that a symbiote like Riot or worse, a symbiote like Carnage will emerge from it, however Eddie feels a connection with Venom's future descendant, which makes him want to protect the new Symbiote and to whom Eddie has begun to give the name Sleeper.
