This might be a bit weird but I'd like to request headcanons for Riku and Sora (DDD) and Kairi(post kh2) where they are able to see their s/o's dreams due to her magic. on the surface in said dream they see how they look now and like a reflection on water on the other side they see the way they used to be as they dance with their s/o realizing how much they have changed this whole time maybe promising s/o they will save her heart(I'm a sap for romance but have a good one mun mun)
OOhh I love this type of imagery ! Remind me of a clip where a boy jumped in the pool and danced with someone… The theory of the end wasn’t good hey, it was still nice to watch
Riku!DDD :
He dived in a new Sleeping World that didn’t have any keyhole
He was confuse at first ; he was standing on water and it seemed like there was no end in sight
The boy looked around before dropping his gaze… and saw you
His body fell on the water, reaching for you
But it was no use, he couldn’t pass the surface
It’s only then that he gave a look at his reflect…
It was him… But it wasn’t
The reflect looked like he was years ago… He never truly noticed how much he changed until now
You looked at “him”, the reflect, with a smile and presented your hand
It was a challenge to take your hand and dancing with you
Riku understood that for whatever reason he landed in your dream instead of a world
He needed to watch at his feet to see you, but he didn’t care ; you seemed happy to dance with him
… And he was happy to see you
But every good things had a stop and he felt be dragged out of your dream
“I will save you ! I promise !”
And he was out of your world
Sora!DDD :
Your hearts were connected
When he fell in a deep sleep arrived to The World That Never Was, his heart connected to your
He regained consciousness ─sort of─ in your dream… Or more accurately on the surface of it, like if he was on water
There was water endlessly
He watched his feet and saw his reflect… He watched it for a few long seconds, confuse, before understanding why it was feeling off
He seemed younger, like the last time you met
Sora gasped and called your name when he saw you next to his reflect
But you weren’t looking at him; you were looking at the reflect
It would have been a problem, but you were at least hearing him
So you talked
And danced
The Keyblader was happy to be with you, you were happy to be with him…
But it wasn’t right… Sora stopped, confusing you
“I will save you. I promise”
Riku’s voice started to echoes, again, and again
The dream was over
Kairi!postkh2 :
This was a secret between you since you were kids
You were able to show your dream and Kairi was the most sensible to it
However, since your disappearance, she was waiting for you… but you never came
Until that night
When Kairi came in your dream, she smiled to watch her feet right away
She saw you, smiling to your reflect
The Princess of Heart stopped to smile when she saw it ; it was her… but from the past
She… changed so much…
“Do you want to dance with me? Like the old time?”
Kairi couldn’t say no to that
So you danced, giggling how difficult it was to dance when you weren’t in your body
You talked after that
“Maybe waiting isn’t enough…” began Kairi, looking at you “I will save you. That’s a promise”
