Me at 16: completely obsessed with both Nightwish and Phantom Of The Opera, in love with their cover of the titular song of the musical, knows every single lyric of the band and the musical by heart, thinks Nightwish only dabbled with Phantom stuff when they made said cover in 2002 for their album Century Child.
Me at 31: still completely obsessed with Phantom Of The Opera, recently gone back into Tarja’s age of Nightwish, Spotify throws Sleepwalker at me and only now, after 15 years I realize they literally quoted Music Of The Night 2 full years before they covered Phantom Of The Opera. In what was supposed to be Finland’s entry to the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest until they were voted out.
