The way I was actually disappointed this scene wasn’t animated in S02 so I had to take matters into my own hands

This one was inspired by the kn8 perfumes they rolled out a while back.

I have always kind of headcanoned that all the high ranking/popular defence force officers also do advertisements and such as side gigs similar to the heroes in My Hero Academia (this headcanon was inspired by the fact that they have in universe merch like posters and collectable cards).

So when I first saw the official art perfume ad I thought it was supposed to be like an in universe advertisement like my headcanon. It was not.

EITHER WAY! My only thought was “Wasted opportunity! Hold my sanity, I’ll show you what a perfume ad looks like!”

Full disclosure I have no idea what perfume ads in Japan actually look like but I’ve only ever seen very sensual and elegant perfume ads and I was struck with sufficient inspiration and motivation 🤷‍♀️

I spent more time trying to figure out how to draw a perfume bottle than I did on the rest of the drawing 😭

The duality of L

A friend of mine did the base sketch for the first one (she’d rather stay anonymous) and passed it on to me to fix, colour and render.

I was drawing the second one simultaneously trying to replicate the art style from the manga…….after 3 days of experimenting, studying several comics and manga and 3 YouTube tutorials I finally figured out how to effectively do hatching 😭

I really disappeared off of this site after the first few days 😭

Honestly I just saw that there’s nothing to coherently organise my stuff on this platform and brain just kinda noped out (plus I may have gotten overwhelmed trying to navigate).

I stumbled back here by accidentally clicking on an email and decided to check how my posts were doing and seeing all the activity motivated me to maybe continue posting??

I’m gonna stick with the anime fanart for now and maybe I’ll start posting OC stuff if that takes off.
