It was totally a great idea. It was an Aoko Idea™, so obviously it was a great idea. Right? Right.

“Hakuba-kun!” Oh good, he was wearing the Inverness today, that made things a lot easier. She all but ran up to him, stopping with a tiny hop in front of the detective. “Do you think I can be your assistant? Every great detective has an assistant, right?” Not to mention she just wanted in on the KID-catching action (even though there was currently no KID to catch, but sssshhhhh).

And…that explained why she was wearing that odd costume of hers. An old coat, probably tweed or something of the sort, paired with pants and a bowler hat. Well, she had tried her hardest, at least. It might not have looked too flattering on her, but she looked like a bonafide Watson to Hakuba’s Holmes, and that’s what counts, right?

“Well?” She brought her arms up in front of her, hands curled into fists in front of her chest. “How about it, Hakuba-kun? I bet you could use another pair of hands on the job!”
