calling . . . ! @slhyn95
“No no no.” She waved her hand and looked at him. Despite being younger she talked with a lot of authority. “But– it is a lot of men. You may bring one of your helpers, but they must be at the same skill level or higher and he must be highly trusted and know how to keep his mouth shut.” She looked him over and gave him a small smile, not trying to hide the underlying threat of her words. “If not he will have to face me. BUT where was I? Oh! Yes– I chose you because my dad and his.. trusted associates all need an update on their looks. Age appropriate of course seeing that my dad is in his fifties. But the age range is anywhere from 17 to 60 so I am asking a lot of you. Oh and I need you today.” She goes through her bag and pulls out two stacks of bills. “Here is 5 grand. I did some research and thats about the average a barbershop makes on a Tuesday.”
Listening to her with a mildly interested smirk on his face, his arms stayed crossed over his chest and head tilted with obvious curiousity. That was a first, a gang-bang cut session. “Hey, sweetheart, you’re standing in front of one of the best barbershops around. Everyone here is at my skillset if not better. I can assure you--but I’m at work right now ...” he stopped for a moment to quickly glance at his watch, nibbling at his lower lip in some gesture of disappointment, “my next guy is in ten minutes ... uh,” But the money tempted him, seeing as he did have some unpaid bills for the month.
“Where do you get all that money anyway? Surely it ain’t safe walking around with all them bills.” Another pause. “Tell you what, I’ll go make some phone calls in the back and see what I can do. We can’t just close up our shop for ya’ sake, but I can pull some strings so I can leave early. Just give me ‘bout 800. Should cover my week.” Before he turns, he makes a quick double take -- “And at least take me out for coffee,” with a wink, he pulls the door into the shop, welcoming bell rustling behind him.
