"One of my most cherished childhood memories are the winter evenings at my grandparents house. They had a #slideprojector and some slides showing #fairytales and other story for children. We often had set it up in their small living room and threw the images on the white door of their bedroom. My brother and I would sit on the floor and my grandmother would tell the story from memory or some images had text under them. I loved these evenings." Found this fully functional Argus Slide Projector at the flea market today and TONS of photo slides from a guy that was in the Airforce, stationed in San Francisco, Japan, and the Philippines. Lots of beautiful photographs, this is definitely a historical record of postwar Japan and Southeast Asia. There are a bunch of empty slides so I can mount some of my own photos too!!
