When not working on my comic or animating video games, I've been helping my cousin with his invention. He invented a ring that makes playing slides on guitar extremely easy. Now, I don't play guitar, so when he introduced the ring to me, I had no idea what he was talking about, until he started playing. It's that neerooohwangawanga sound that's apparently so hard to make.
Anyway, in addition to doing slides, my cousin discovered this thing can get completely new sounds out of a guitar - and other steel-stringed instruments, too. Banjo. Ukulele. It's pretty rad. I've really enjoyed watching the Sildewinder Ring evolve, from a nameless, glued-together prototype to the real deal it is today.
You can order one! The ring itself is on the pricey side, but if you'd like to kick my cuz a few bucks, that will go a long way toward making the Slidewinder Ring reach its ridiculous potential.
