ok i can sometimes not infer the correct meaning of something or overanalyse something in anime (or state something really obvious tbh), but i'm sure this quote comes as subtle symbolism (as i guess it only really makes sense, considering last episode, when we reach the end of the ep). The stars shining over his head is ,o r includes, his late mother- and i like this because of the fact that in kousei's memories we are shown 'twinkle twinkle little star' being a significant and precious memory of their time together. The theme of the sky recurred in this episode as kousei looks up into the sky at different stages, seeing different things (i guess this was a theme from previous episodes too), which if it links to not only his lost mother, but i guess also him looking to the future, we are shown how kousei has developed over time and the influence of others on him!! (his mothers' death, watari, tsubaki,,,kaori). I really like how when kousei is playing, takeshi/his instructor points out that it seems like there were 3 different people playing- i guess sort of showing a time lapse of the stages of his life includingthe time where he felt guilty for and grieved his mother?? His 'mother nodding' at the end kinda shows him (perhaps not quite moving on) but maybe excepting her death and lifting the guilt??? I dunno i haven't read much of the manga so this is just a response to episode 10!
