SLIM DUSTY (1980)

Duncan is an Australian song made famous by Slim Dusty and written by Pat Alexander. Alexander was talking and drinking with Duncan Urquhart at Town and Country Hotel in St Peters, NSW.

In 1980, Bob Hawke was running to be Prime Minister of Australia. Alexander working for the ABC recorded the song,

The Bob Hawke Song, as a single and Duncan was on the B-side.

Slim Dusty recorded the song and it was released by EMI, which was played on 2UE by John Laws. Dusty's music video was filmed at the Town and County Hotel. The song was a number 1 hits on the charts.

The Wiggles recorded the song in 2000.
