we interrupt tonight's invertebrate to announce that it is officially HAGFISH DAY!!! and everyone has come to witness the majestic (and oddly slimey) fish of hag!

now is the day to celebrate hagfish, think about hagfish, talk about hagfish with friends and family, participate in hagfish activities, eat hagfish, play with hagfish slime and carry obscene amounts of hagfish in trucks!!

I’ve had to blow my nose so much I feel like one of those slime eels.

Salvatore Tragale was driving a truck loaded with hagfish when he came upon road construction that had stopped traffic. Tragale couldn't stop his truck in time and it overturned, sending containers of eels flying. They sailed into the southbound lane, starting a chain reaction of collisions.
