SlimRoms is finally back to life after a period of technical difficulties. The team also has some exciting plans for the future!
This article on XDA should finally explain what was going on with SlimRoms. In the meantime, I have been trying out other roms in order to keep my nexus7 2012 from becoming a glorified deskclock.

Why: The 1978ers are the hip hop duo comprised of emcee yU and producer Slimkat and they are making timeless tunes that are heartfelt and genuine. The debut album is packed full of so many amazing moments that it truly takes the listener on a journey through audio. Short and sweet has been the trend as of late, but these dudes turn down a notch and put the work into depth with the content. The construction of these tracks is calculated and a lot of thought has gone into every segment as the album plays through. yU is overflowing with lyrical madness and keeps focus on delivering his soul through each and every bar. Slimkat is a force to be reckoned with making these beats, because he is in command of the listeners sense of rhythm until the very end. The 1978ers are packed with enough talent to be legends if they continue to work together in this capacity and we at SWIM are pulling for them all the way.
