This is an Eversharp Slim Ventura Sterling Silver c1953-1957. The Slim Ventura was the last quality pen marketed by Eversharp and replaced the lever-fill Ventura and was breifly advertised alongside the older pen. Though slender, the pen is 5 1/8 inches long. It has a spring loaded clip and a small 14 karat gold hallmarked nib. The filling system is an aerometric style squeeze filler that uses a cylindrical metal frame around a long ink sac with a breather tube inside, a crude knock off of the Parker system. There were five different models in a variety of finishes. The Sterling Silver model is hallmarked "STERLING" and sold for $15.00 and the matching Repeater pencil was $10.00.
