Is it okay to dread over slipping? Like i always take caution on slippery places and i'm just anxious when there's a slippery area ahead b'cus my mind is like 'i'm gonna slip over there and it will draw attention evade evade' and sometimes i had the think of slippin' even though there's no wet floors in sight and it takes me to some kind of panic attack (tag this slippinaway pls)
To me this sounds like an anxiety problem, although I'm not entirely sure what kind.
The fact that it makes you reach a point where you're having a panic attack is concerning; the best thing for you to do is talk to a professional in order to try and work out the underlying reasons for the fear. It could be a specific phobia, or it could be part of something bigger.
The other thing to do is try to train your mind to think differently. When you find yourself thinking that you're going to slip, tell yourself, firmly, that no, everything will be fine. The more you block out the negative thoughts with positive ones, the easier things should be.
