Let me share my vision with you.

Slitch, being a supernatural entity, will change fundamentally if he remains in the service of the Matron. He will become a creature of Death itself, perhaps a celestial even, but I can see him staying in his little pokeball. I bet he likes it there. And I bet the Matron likes having him there, just a freaky little guy who is down to clown on the mortals and other gods. Like her secret sidekick. Like a surprise trick up her - sleeve (heh).

Now imagine: it's a future campaign. The party meets a mysterious creature connected to the goddess of death. He says he was sent from "the bosom of the Matron" and it's typical figurative language, no reason to examine it too closely.

But we would know.

Okay but did Slitch get destroyed with the Matron's human form? Because I'd like to propose the theory that because he was a good helper, she took him with her when she returned to her godly form and that's why she wanted Vax as company because she's only had Slitch in her domain behind the divine gate and he's great and all but man she could use some new company... I propose this only because Slitch is great and I love him and want the best for him.
