"You are just the busiest little bumble bee, aren't you?"

Sloane skipped over the help Peter with all the trays, piled high from clearing out rooms all day. Everything with heavy and crowded in the hall, but she had just finished up the sanitation duty in the basement. Anything was preferrable to washing bed pans.

"Let me help you, there's no way you can carry all'a those!"

Though Sloane had made a few friends in town, it was definitely starting to be a little lonely in the winter. The cottage kept her warm through the night, but wouldn't it be nice to come home to something cuddly every evening? Since P had also expressed seeing lots of stray cats around the town, it seemed only fitting that they'd go to see about adopting one! And he was free this afternoon!

Sloane was careful not to stick her fingers into the grate, but she held herself close to the wall of the kennel to see if a kitty would make eye contact with her.

"Argh! They're all sooooo cute. How are you supposed to pick?"

Location and Time: 2 pm, a bustling farmer's market ripe with produce, unhindered by the rain. with @grey-eyed-thea

Sloane absolutely loved the home-grown feeling of the Godscobh farmer's market. She made a point to come every Saturday, filling up tote bags with tomatoes, peppers, squash, and even fresh flowers if they were in season!

December had been a little unkind to the farmers in the area, but Sloane was generous with her purchases as always. She hoped it helped at least a little bit to boost their sales.

"Oh, you have to try this jam! I had their strawberry peach one last time, and I went through the whole jar by myself!" Sloane beckoned a tall, poised woman over to the sample station, acting as a personal sales person for the booth.

Location and Time: 10 pm, a windy beach past public hours, grains of sand mimicking the stars. with @acommonfairy

Sloane was absolutely delighted when Tinley texted to set up an outing for them to hang out and get to know the town a bit better. Tinley had a magnetic sort of confidence about her, which made Sloane just want to follow behind her in line.

She did ask a lot of questions... Curiosity was a good trait! Sloane just had to get good at avoiding them and changing the subject, not wanting to dig herself into a hole.

"Are you sure we're allowed here this late?" Sloane knew how to swim a little, but the fact that there were no lifeguards out made her a little uneasy, "It's really pretty, I mean! But what's different about it at night?"

Sloane really loved her little cottage out in the woods, but she almost never went out past her bedtime. The forest was so creepy and she could only protect herself with a few things like pepper spray and her keys.

Tim had invited her out to some kind of party in the woods though, and she hated saying no to people. Hopefully it would be a good way to get to know more people!

"You're sure this is the trail? It looks kind of dark," Sloane tugged her sweater close, standing slightly behind Tim like she was worried a bear would jump out at them.

The actual purchasing of Sloane's house might've long been over, but she was constantly texting with the nice ladies at the real estate company after the fact. Need the number of an electrician? Call Miss Callaway. Don't know how to get internet connection? Call Miss Callaway.

She was the first person Sloane had really gotten know in Godscobh besides Sophia, so it was kind of like making a friend, right?

"As payment for helping me get those birds nests out of my garage," Sloane pranced into the real estate office with a woven basket stacked high with muffins, "Fresh from my lovely kitchen that I couldn't have found myself without you!"

Since moving into her own place, Sloane had to challenge herself to do lots of things on her own. She wasn't completely helpless, but she'd never been completely independent before either... and that was scary.

No, Sloane believed she could do this on her own. She was actually having fun exploring the businesses around Godscobh! The thrift shop near the center of town was totally adorable, filled with trinkets Sloane could coo over.

"Hi, do you guys deliver if I wanted that couch over there?" Sloane brought the tag over to the counter like she'd seen people do on antique-selling tv shows before, "And do you know a number for a repair company in town?"
