Taking a small break from all the bungo stray dogs and showing off a sketch I’m actually pretty happy with! It was drawn while I was driving in an RV so it’s sloppy but I still like it!
It’s actually a character named Sloane Larson from this freaking amazing fanfic series I’m reading. It’s called Grimm-The Casebook of Sloane Larson.
It’s a really great read and if you’re a Grimm fan then double points cause this is freaking incredible! I’ll leave the link below for any curious people :)
Little mock up of the Grimm eyes I've been working on, as they'd look on Sloane (using Yvonne Strahovsky as a base). We have normal, Grimm basic, the form awakened by Nick in Breaking the Ice, and then the one Sloane awakened after breaking the curse.
I've got some other art bits I'm finishing up as well
Finally updated! Sorry for the wait, real life just keeps coming for me. This chapter also went through several different versions where I couldn't decide who the final villain was, or some other details I won't spoil here. I'll update later with some thoughts when people have a chance to read the chapter!
Quick little comic thing about all the things I considered when deciding on Sloane’s “father” while i had my tablet but not my computer. Ultimately, I’m happy I chose Victoria as I want to be more inclusive in my characters and especially make more trans, NB and other characters. And yes, Victoria is trans and pan.
What do you guys think about all the other ideas I had?
New chapter WILL be out soon, I promise. Christmas, my birthday, work, etc. have been INSANE the last couple of months...

So it’s more of a fable than a fairy tale, but I felt the tortoise and the hare is so famous it really needed a story!
Except in mine, the tortoise is an mob asshole.
I thought about using the Genio Innocuo from The Other Side as my villain, but I wanted something a bit more intimidating and less gentle tempered (when not spliced with a lowen--okay, that is still the weirdest f-ing episode in my opinion. and based on Pinocchio? or was that just the quote?) So while I don’t like confusing turtles and tortoises, the Mandibula Trampa was based on a snapping turtle.
Because they are terrifying. Will post drawing/diary entry later. The Langhen Ohren is a wesen I actually came up with years ago, before the Willhara was introduced https://www.deviantart.com/dracophile/art/Wessen-Rabbit-361689968 While I like the Willahara, they’re supposed to be rabbits (despite the name) and hares are actually genetically different.
I thought about it being things like street racing and the like, but I don’t know enough about that aside from Fast and Furious movies XD so a race with wesen chasing them seemed like a fun alternative.
I had considered Juliette being the one to be taken with Sloane and sometimes I regret not doing it--so they could’ve gotten closer before the betrayal. But I also wanted to start in on Sloane’s feelings for Nick and them working together to keep each other alive.
I actually looked up how to suture a wound for this...

Trubel!!! I looked forward to her and Sloane interracting and was excited to get her in here :3
I figured with a female Grimm influence, and Sloane trying to be more...discerning with her hunts, Trubel would have a more grounded influence. I love Nick, but I think he had a little trouble (heh) understanding where she came from and how to really help her after what she’d been through.
The other obvious thing is taking Diana away from Adalind...I still wonder if that was the best choice, but I felt what happens because of it is kind of important plot wise so I went through with it. I make it up to her later!
