Metaldays 2015 Review Part 2- Total Annihilation, Slomind
I’ve crushed these two bands together because they played short sets, and I don’t have a huge amount to say about either.
I may be a bit biased towards these guys, seeing as I spent a lot of the weekend hanging around with them, but Total Annihilation unleashed a set of heavy, satanic, death metal influenced, if slightly generic thrash metal. It was thoroughly enjoyable and had heads banging throughout the crowd which was surprisingly large for the first band of the week.
Now onto Slomind. I was less enthusiastic about this band, they played an incredibly generic brand of groove metal, that seemed to drag a lot it’s constant mid pace compared to the breakneck speed deployed by the previous band. I just felt everything was underwhelmingly average. The muddy guitar tone didn’t help matters much either.
