To everyone else, he looks a little wonky and bland. Not outrageously ugly, but definitely not someone you'd find immediately attractive.
He isn't ugly hot either. Just a weird lanky dude. A mid minus, you may say.
But to Sirius he is the hottest person alive. Because he loves him.
And if you love someone, their imperfections become beauty in your eyes. If you love someone, you also fall in love with every little detail of their face because it gives you this familiar warmth and feeling of home. And now you can't take your eyes off of them and you wish you could crawl inside their bones to be forever close, forever one.
And that is the true reason Sirius wants to jump him.
I think that the appeal Remus has to Sirius is that he is calm. That he is unlikely to yell, unlikely to lash out. Timid, kind. Gentle.
I imagine teenage Sirius being pretty disregulated by the volatility of his family, causing his own, and Remus calmness just soothes it so well.
When Sirius would be in a fit of rage about something, James would rant with him and rile him up further, entertaining his mood. Peter would cower, worried to say the wrong thing. But Remus would be the one to step up, trying to make him take deep breaths and think it through and tell him that "just setting it all on fire" actually won't fix the issue at hand at all.
He would say the things Sirius would know very well himself, but would be unable to reach through his anger, without ever judging him for his outbursts. Sirius liked that Remus was steady. That he didn't have to worry about him.
Remus would allow Sirius to become as kind as he actually is. Not having to hide behind an aloof, snarky facade (let's be real, he can be a mean bitch and he's good at it, but he cares). Remus would allow Sirius to be himself in a way (maybe) not even James could.
I may not be able to find a fancast for how I imagine Sirius looks like but I am very steadfast in my Padfoot "casting". (Canon Padfoot; we all know what fanon Padfoot looks like.)
May I present to you, the Irish Wolfhound:
I mean. He is one of the largest breeds of dog, despite his looks he is very family friendly and...he hunts wolfs.
I don't know what it is but I am just not onboard with the whole super prominent cheekbone Sirius you all are envisioning. Give the man some buccal fat!
Thoughts on metalhead Sirius: (beware, this will be a bit longer)
I generally imagine him more in a 90s metal style so the timeline is a tad moved up.
Reasoning:
I think he would start out with getting into Muggle Rock music, get an electric guitar and then move on to Metal (and Punkrock - but that's not the point here xD), because the elaborate Solos are more fun to play. He always needs a challenge!
Metalheads are notorious for their luscious long hair and I am a long haired Sirius truther. I just think it suits him so well.
Just like punk, Metal is a rebellious endeavor and hence be naturally intriguing to him.
The all black and laid back fashion would work well with his character.
What I think he'd listen to:
Iron Maiden & Metallica because who can avoid these...
SOAD
KoRn
Slipknot
Sepultura
Tool
And probably a bunch of niche artists that I am not cool enough to know.
What I think he'd look like:
Long, unstyled hair.
Chunky black boots.
Black, oversized bandshirts.
Black Cargopants or loose fitting, black Jeans.
Maybe some rings, if he's feeling like it.
Ears pierced all the way up.
Misc headcanons:
He'd be the kind of tall person at concerts that let's shorter people in front of him, so he doesn't stand in the way.
If someone accompanied him to the concerts he'd protect them lovingly from the moshers. He'd be good at that 😊
Would wear his favorite bands shirts until they fell apart.
Smokes only self-rolled (idk how to say this in english) cigarettes, so his fingers always smell faintly of tobacco.
Always has dark circles under his eyes from staying up too late obsessing over some album.
Likes concerts on occasion, but perfers to listen to the CDs/cassettes at painful volume in his room (or with headphones, if he feels considerate).
Once took Peter to a concert and lost him, spend the rest of the event frantically looking for him only to find him - as wormtail - sitting in a girls neckline, being fussed over.
Ok, think that's it. Thank you for coming to my ted talk!
If you have any thoughts to add, put them in the comments!
Hc that it was actually James who was obsessed with chocolate and that's why Remus brought it to Hogwarts and offered it to Harry, hoping he might be the same and being able to cheer him up with it just like he used to with James.
Look, there is two ways I can get behind wolfstar height differences:
Either Remus is 6'0 and Sirius is 6'4.
Or Sirius is 6'2 and Remus is 6'6, and Sirius is mortally offended by it (like how dare he be taller?!), but really Remus is just bumping his head on everything and can't find clothes that are long enough for his freakishly long limbs.
