Crazy that I've had the symptoms of asthma for years and it was dismissed because the first line of testing came out negative, and home monitoring was inconclusive, and I'm just now hearing about another whole test my doctor didn't order from an off duty respiratory therapist who just happened to be hanging out in our break room with a coworker, and overheard me talking about my struggle with getting an asthma diagnosis, and all the smoke.

I told him he'd been more helpful in less than 5 minutes than any of my doctors had been this whole time, and he gave a solemn nod.

Asthma can be fatal in these conditions btw.

The problem with growing up on solid diet of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adam's is connecting footnotes and meta-text with being funny or knowing.

And now I'm subconsciously expecting myself to put something witty or clever in the tags of everything I post.

This will not happen. I have so many (thousands of) drafts due to default saving them thinking I'll get around to tagging later. They're haunting me at this point. I keep trying to find something I know I've read on here and have to dig through years' worth of backlog to hopefully find it. Without any searchable tags. I do not need to get a good grade in being smart on a Tumblr I'm the primary reader of...

Time to revel in category tags or whatever spills out of my brain when I come across a post.

It's so funny how before, I was the only one in my family having issues with smoke and allergies, but now that it's bad I can basically hand out n95s to my family because I just like. Have them sitting around.

He has the WHOLE 5 GAL TANK, yet he smushes himself into these leaves like he's in a prison. Unbelievable.

I just cleaned my window this morning, and I shit you not, an hour later I saw some strata hired window cleaners outside.

Giving myself permission to have fun

No-one apart from me actually needs to see this but might as well get my brain on side rather than fight against it...

Been off work sick for a few months with a bad (for me) chronic fatigue episode and compounding factors from that. It's been gradually improving and is more 'moderate' again, and recently starting ADHD meds has generally given me more headspace/executive functioning to deal with things.

I feel weirdly guilty about starting to post on here again, even though I'm the main person who'll notice the difference. Think it might be a hangover from just not having the energy/focus to do anything that's not got practical benefit for months.

So here's the permission I'm apparently looking for to go through my ridiculous backlog of draft posts and just have fun on here. Here's to having the energy for that to be an option!
