This vegetarian slow cooker stuffing is packed with classic flavors like sage, thyme, and rosemary, making it a perfect addition to your holiday table. The slow cooker method ensures that the flavors meld together beautifully while the bread becomes perfectly tender.
Ingredients: 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed. 2 cups vegetable broth. 1 onion, diced. 2 stalks celery, diced. 1/2 cup butter, melted. 2 tsp dried sage. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1 tsp dried rosemary. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper.
Instructions: In a large bowl, mix together the cubed bread, diced onion, and diced celery. Mix vegetable broth, melted butter, salt, black pepper, dried sage, thyme, and rosemary in a different bowl. Pour the broth mixture over the bread mixture and mix it around until the bread is covered all over. Put the mixture in a slow cooker. Put the lid on top and set the heat to low. Cook for 4 to 6 hours, or until the bread is soft and the stuffing is hot. Sometimes stir to make sure cooking is even. Serve hot and enjoy!
