Personal rant... So. I live in a small town in the rurals. It's an uber conservative shithole. Our pride parade is next week and I am excited for it but I am also so scared. Facebook is toxic obvs but wow our town's FB group is full on hate speech mode. I know every place has fuckheads but it is BAD. So many of them doing ANYTHING to attack the parade.
Like. I used to be one of those people all about being polite and kind and educating ignorance but I can't anymore. If people are going to be hateful bigot scum they can go fuck themselves. I am so frightened of whats gonna happen next week I feel sick. I work freelance and I am genuinely scared that at this rate I could lose work for being gay. At the same time I am too fucking mad to be quiet anymore. I dont want to be nice or the one who explains why they're fucked up. I just wanna tell them they are fucked up. Idk if that's hust making stuff worse but why do we have to keep being the patient ones.
