rebel grrrl you are the queen of my world the main character of my novel (unintentionally) giving off serious mark renton vibes -- though, visually, she was more inspired by early 90s sinéad o'connor just a heck of a lot more butch/punk.

she's lowkey pretty problematic, but considering the absolutely fucked life she had up to that point. i can't really blame her, inside she's still just a scared little kid in a much scarier world -- whose only way of achieving a sliver of peace, autonomy and happiness was by fighting through hell like a caged animal for it -- and now she lives in such constant fear of losing that grace that she really becomes her own worst enemy and something of a self-fulfilling prophecy. don't worry though, for all the shit, i promise it all comes up roses for her in the end.
