Some would call it paranoia but, when you’re crazy (I know how that sounds), you develop a sixth sense for people who treat you differently because they know. It’s that mixture of aggression and apprehension sprinkled with just a little bit of guilt (enough to make them feel OK with themselves) that gives it away.

That last rule Ms Willhelmsen directed at me feels ominous. More a promise than a warning.

She’s grabs a pile of sheets of paper and a few pens from the Loans and Returns desk and starts distributing them amongst us.

“We’re going to try something a little different today. We are going to write an essay — of no less than a thousand words — describing to me who you think you are.”

“Is this a test?” I hear Sana mutter and I smile at her, until Ms Willhelmsen slams a sheet of paper and a pen too hard on Sana’s table, making her flinch.

Good response to SJW is calling someone a SQW-a status quo warrior

I dunno, I don’t think either word works as an insult. Insults are supposed to hurt. People who tend to throw SJW around LIKE the status quo in the same way so-called SJWs like myself do like and want to promote social justice. Calling me an SJW is a weak insult to start with.

An insult is supposed to get to someone at their core and deride their value system or their identity. It’s why slurs are so hurtful and are insulting. What individuals decide is an insult varies (look at queer, for example) and what people designate as an insult says a lot about both the person who says the insult and the response of the target.

theres other stupid terms lol. someone called me a 'bet@ male' and a cu*k once because I was against this ugly white dude who taught men how to physically sexually assault women. Like, because I dont want to put my hands on women im a bet@ male? and I could be a cu*k but im not married, soo...?

My fav is soy boy because now there’s this conspiracy that soy being in everything is causing the “feminization of men” bc soy is a source of “dietary estrogen” and so now soy boy implies that you’re not masculine enough, along the lines of beta male. 

Also the government knows this about soy and encourages male feminization through subsidizing Agribusiness’s soy crops. 

Also apparently now we need to drink onion juice to fight the Feminization of men.

But those same ppl will turn around and tell me I don’t understand biology bc I’m trans.

I understand that the discourse has some merit but I’ve never been a fan of “you can’t disown parts of your own ideology instead of declaring it separate from you own.” because I’m sorry but Becky from the block who things I’m some f*ggot trying to “claim wymhood” does NOT stand with me and I sure as fuck do not stand with her.
