Sometimes, when Red wasn't working on training, or relaxing, or even his secret little project... he actually gave himself some time to relax. Not just some five minute take-your-helmet-off bullshit and stare at the stars, not spend-five-minutes-longer-in-bed relaxing. No, he was doing some proper, full on hours length worth of relaxing. And where else to do such a thing such as a library in Motorcity?
It was a shame that none existed in Deluxe. Everyone was more interested in getting their fix on their devices, their walls and little handhelds. Handy they may be, but how could they know the pleasure of turning a page, the dusty smells and the little stains of a proper book? To gently hold one in your lap as you squinted through dim light.
It was almost a travesty that there were no bookstores in Deluxe. But then again, that's why he liked Motorcity. Here, Red could spend hours in bliss.
And that's just where he was.
A rundown library near the walls, lights yellowed and aging and a light layer of dust over everything was what made up the tiny library Red was holed up in. Right in the back, on a small, lumped couch he sat, enjoying a book in his lap. He was alone in the place, but that was okay. He liked being alone.
It wasn't like there was anyone who wanted to bother someone like Red anyway, right?
