Good evening, Mother mine,

Pray lend thine ear unto a matter most grievous and strange. Forasmuch as Father (thy wedded lord and husband) hath taken to casting Raphael and Besorah, our two most cherished hounds, beyond the threshold of our dwelling, the pair have conspired together in cunning fellowship against us.

Verily, when we usher them forth and make fast the door, lo! Raphael, sly of paw and sharp of wit, doth contrive to unbar it once more, granting Besorah secret passage into the house. Thereafter each strayeth unto that corner of the abode which most tempteth his spirit, as though the walls themselves did beckon them by name.

Ofttimes they linger in patience, feigning exile, only to steal within again when least expected, silent as shadows and twice as mischievous.

Thus are we beset, not by foes of flesh and blood, but by two clever beasts who have joined paws in rebellion against our rule.
