with one shoe on and one shoe off, seungjun’s feet scuffle across the floor in desperation to get away from the furry monster trying to get him. every panicked dart of the insect in his direction elicited a pitched shriek, cut off when he had to fumble over himself and across the floor until his shoulder slammed into the wall. an accident that shot pain through his expression, clutching at his upper arm and cringing for the minute second to contain himself. that was all it took for the creature to escape his eye sight, and him to press back in a flood of adrenaline. “where’d it go? where’d it go? where’d it go?” he began to question, reaching down to clutch at his last shoe, pulling it off of his foot. his toes squirmed in their white socks as he stared at the floor in search of the enemy.
the bravery lasting a complete ten seconds when the insect darted out from a shadow into eye line and seungjun aimed his shoe at it, throwing with shout of fear. whether his panicked screams or his lack of effort to place sports was the reason for the shoe tumbling, missing the furry eight-legged beast didn’t matter. all that mattered was seungjun now had no shoes on and that meant he was defenseless if it came at him. he’d foolishly left his wand in class after taking a nap through the professors lecture on topic he knew already and rushing to get to his next one. now he was going to die. his body sinking down the wall until he was curled in the corner, knees tucked up to his chest and arms wrapping around himself. all he could do now was sit still and how it would leave him alone.
