Narcissa Black is an ambitious, sly lady who knows that deception can go much farther than what a wand will produce. Blonde, curly hair and a doe-eyed face painted with delicate features give off the impression of a humble, quiet girl- and such assumptions could not be more false. A quiet demeanour hides the mental train of how to bring someone to their knees using only her words, and those who underestimate her will be sorry they did. For one may be a lady, but when you the daughter of a Black, you know how to get what you want.
As the youngest of the Black sisters, Narcissa grew up very coddled, protected at all costs against the ugliness that was the real world. If someone ever upset her, Bellatrix scolded them and spew off threats until they ran away, fearing for their life. If someone ever made her doubt herself, Andromeda would stay up with her all night, listening to every thought that she was willing to vocalize. Her parents showered her with extravagant gifts, as to them, that was parenting. So long as their daughters grew up to be respectable ladies who married pureblooded men, then their job was complete. They had duties to fulfill, and could not be bothered wandering around the house all day, looking after their girls. Therefore, they always relied on each other, and when they were off at Hogwarts, it was hard to adjust to being alone. When her time came, she took to the school quite fondly- despite the students that walked the halls, Narcissa was sorted into the same House as her sisters, and that made up for it. Spending her days living up to the expectations her parents have set for her, Narcissa has a tendency to look down upon those who come from less respectable families- she certainly cannot be seen with them, after all. The Black family has a reputation, and there is nothing that could cause her to tarnish it.
