It had been… a long trip. Hetra hadn’t been in such a dire situation in hundreds of years, and it took almost twenty of the Han’ets giving all their effort to bring the planet back into order.
Over the course of that time Beziar’s hair—which he took so much pride in—had grown out past his ass. It hadn’t gotten a good brushing in a while and was comp.etely blond; he had none of his dye on Hetra, and the blond had grown back in.
His usually clean-shaven face now sported a short beard, peppered with darker hairs. A cut on his left cheek had sliced away a section of the beard, but the wound was almost fully healed by now.
As he stumbled into Sly’s house, using his powers to drag him right inside, he was half naked. His feet were bare, his fang and claw choker heavier, and loose leather pants hung from his waist. He’d lost a few pounds; you could see it in his face especially, in his tired eyes and weary features. He trembled a little from the effort it took to remain standing, a sigh easing out past chapped lips.
A whole slew of new scars coated his hide, mostly from blades and fangs, a few from burns. There were almost too many to count, and a multitude of wounds crossed across his flesh as well, in various stages of healing. The newest ones, and the scrapes on his knuckles and face and side, were still bleeding a little.
He was smeared with blood and Hetran soil, most of it from the most recent fight, and fresh sweat still glistened on his skin, along with splashes of paint.
He took a step, unsteady as a newborn fawn, desperately wanting to crash in Sly’s bed or at least the couch, but… His bad knee gave out, overworked and over stressed by all the marching and fighting and such.
Not even bothering to catch himself, he hit the floor with a thud strong enough almost to shake the walls.
“Okay,” he wheezed, just accepting the position.
