Sylvain in the S Suport says he’ll continue proposing to Byleth over and over until he’s taken seriously.
Now with Ingrid how many times does it take for him to even remotely take him seriously? He’s been making the joke of wanting to just marry her since they were kids. Then every time she cleaned up after him in the academy- he’d just say “I’ll marry you Ingrid, you’ll have a wealthy husband and I’ll have you.” Or along those lines. Then you’ve got the war where Sylvain wants to marry her, incase something happens to either of them not coming back.
Then the wars over. Sylvain is finally gonna get the love of his life if it kills him or not. After all if he can survive a 5 years war. He can marry Ingrid.
