“Sorry,” Judy muttered, looking away for a moment. She felt really bad now.

“Mom, please, I don’t have time for this.” Judy said with a sigh as her mother and various little bunny kits had been surrounded by her. The new bunny cop didn’t have too much time before she would be considered “late” to work.
“Oh, but sweetheart, with having been so busy lately, why don’t you try and maybe find someone to eventually settle down with? Maybe go on a few dates.” Judy’s mother insisted calmly and persuasively.
“No, mom, now is not the time for that. And I’ve got to get to work, okay? Something really important is supposed to happen today, and I am not missing it.” Judy hurried to finish getting herself together before heading out.
Judy’s mother sighed. “Well, be careful. Love you.” And a few of the bunny kits said their goodbyes too.
“Right back at you all. I’ll see ya.” Those were Judy’s final words as she left her home and headed to the station.

“Well, well.” Grinning, Judy stood tall before Nick in front of the reception hall for the training facility. It had been a long time since she had been there, and memories flowed through her. But she pushed them aside, focusing primarily on her friend. The case again Dawn Bellwether had taken up most of her time, so she hadn’t been able to get out to see him as she had originally planned.
This visit was unplanned, mostly out of desire to see him again. Since he had gone in for training, she had missed having her good friend at her side. And seeing him only made that yearning worse, but three months wasn’t too long for her to wait. “If it isn’t one of Zootopia’s soon-to-be finest. How’s training suiting you, Nick?”
