🔥 Avatar ships
All the ships from Sokka’s canoe to Ozai’s airship are great and valid.
Except maybe some of the river-faring vessels.
Badly explained WIP- Disturbia by Rihanna but with Star Wars Rebels
so a bunch of people with lightsabers dancing somewhat in sync in a badly lit basement? Also spiders and seductive dancing on top of a mannequin?
okay, just kidding :D that sounds cool. I’d never seen the music video before so I checked it out and I love the “tone” of it. It’s dark and creepy and very interesting. If that’s what you’re going for, I love it.

While I def think that’s an outdated cliche, I think its not so bad here because they’re trying to show one of her (very few) character flaws, in that she can sometimes be tunnel visioned. I can personally attest to how easy it is to take loved ones for granted when you have a very strong goal orientation, and that’s where I think they were going with this, not so much a “career vs fam” thing because no one was really asking her to choose
@slytherclawpadawan yeah i agree, it does make sense for her character. it’s still a little off-putting for me, even so, but it fits pretty well with what’s already established.
we’ve seen hera’s sometimes single-minded focus on the rebellion cause tensions between them (‘siege of lothal’ the obvious example). i think her resistance to accepting kanan as even just a temporary partner or crew member in ‘a new dawn’ because she really needs a certain sort of person with certain priorities if theyre getting at all involved in her rebellion stuff also showed that. so it makes sense that would also extend to their romantic relationship.
and i think, while they CAN be the poster children for open, positive communication between partners,, it’s not ALWAYS the case. ‘the mystery of chopper base’ showed that when things are REALLY dire that communication can break down. and that was something that really centered on both their feelings for each other and ezra, so there’s a precedent. it’s almost like they reach a certain threshold of Things Getting Really Serious and things get..... difficult for them.
with stuff like that i GET why this is the direction they take them -- especially with the way they kiiiiiiinda wrote themselves into a corner by playing so coy with their relationship for 3 whole years. it would be jarring and honestly kind of anti-climactic if they suddenly flipped a switch and started explicitly showing them together, without showing any sort of character development that drives that change. so they had to come up with SOMETHING.

Pryce: Hello, Alexsandr. How do you like my new office? Twentieth floor.
Kallus: Yes, I never thought I’d see you this high without a broom under you.

Now you know about this you should know that when you were frustrated over Hera apparently never telling Kanan "I love you" and we were all being super vague, we were referring to a popular fan theory that when Hera said "why did i wait so long to tell" she was actually referring to her pregnancy!
@slytherclawpadawan that makes a looooot more sense lol
Kanera?
Who’s the werewolf and who’s the hunter?
Hmmm, I feel like Kanan would be the werewolf and Hera the hunter, because he’s been running from so much so it actually really works that way? Okay so, Hera is a hunter who is smaller than all of the other hunters, but she’s smart and she’s strong so while she may not look like much, everyone knows she can handle herself. Kanan is a werewolf who was bitten when he was younger, and he hates it because he accidentally killed some of his friends and his mother figure so he hates who he is. Cue them meeting, Hera hearing about a werewolf that runs around in the forest but rarely ever kills. But he’s still a threat of course. And with her tracking skills and general smarts, she finds out that it’s Kanan, and she starts planning how to get rid of him. But as she does, she starts seeing how hurt he looks, the fear in his eyes, the way he looks at his hands like they are the worst thing in the world...He’s not like other werewolves. Yes, she’s seen some that didn’t seem to enjoy killing too much but Kanan looks so broken, how can she kill him?
Who’s the mermaid and who’s the fisherman?
Hehe, okay here we go. Merman Kanan is this suave, flirting merman who travels the ocean a lot and doesn’t stay in one place very long - for reasons no one quite knows. But then one day as he’s checking out his new temporary home, he sees the prettiest fisherwoman he has ever seen. Yes, there are pretty mermaids of course but there is just something about this girl. Her voice, her strength, her determination, and Kanan is enamored right away.
Who’s the barista and who’s the coffee addict?
Dude...this one could go either way tbh. But...I’m tempted to pull a Kanan is the barista and Hera is the over worked coffee addict who always seems super tired when she comes in. But despite that, she always carries herself with this air of determination and power. Kanan tries to flirt with her, but Hera is having none of it - though she’s a little more open to talking after having some coffee. But honestly Kanan’s flirting is still annoying. It isn’t until she comes in super late, a distraught look on her face that she actually doesn’t mind Kanan’s company. She ends up spilling to him how her father is pressuring her to continue his business while all she wants to do is get out of that town and make a difference. And she knows if she wants to live her life she has to leave but that’s so terrifying. Little does she know, Kanan has a hard past too, and it’s about time he moved on from this town as well. (not sure how it goes from there, maybe they planned on just being traveling buddies but then...feelings change...)
Who’s the professor and who’s the TA?
Well...age wise, it would make sense that Kanan is the professor...which could work...Kanan is the fun teacher everyone likes, though his lesson planning skills are a little lack. So when Hera comes in as his assistant (that he didn’t think he needed but when he saw her well...maybe he could use one) and she sees how he really needs to fix his teaching style. First it starts off as just a few suggestions, but Kanan doesn’t see what is wrong. So finally after she overhears a few students asking each other what they actually needed to do she stomps in and gives Kanan a mouthful...which shocks him and makes him realize that this girl has more than just a pretty face. And with her help he manages to change his teaching style a little, which results in them spending more time together...
Who’s the knight and who’s the prince(ss)?
Well...I think the “Kanan is a knight but Hera is the princess who can totally take care of herself and kick butt” situation applies here. Imagine Kanan arriving at a castle, so sure this princess is going to love him because who doesn’t? But then she couldn’t care less about him, which totally throws him. He keeps trying, but Hera pretty much just rolls her eyes. But then one night he runs into a girl on the street and...it’s Hera, dressing down so she can do her own thing, oh and she was kind of in a fight when he found her and let’s just say that guy has a broken nose now. So Kanan promises to keep her secret if he can tag along. Hera is annoyed but agrees and those nights of being vigilantes of a sort results in them starting to get to know each other more and they learn to trust each other and...some feelings start growing.
Who’s the teacher and who’s the single parent?
Oh this one has been done before! Okay, but Kanan is totally the single parent to Ezra, this little kid he adopted because he had no one else (also Ezra probably hated the orphanage and kept running away and Kanan kept finding him to the point where he was like “this isn’t healthy for this kid” orrr Kanan knew Ezra’s parents...either way...) and Hera is Ezra’s teacher who meets Kanan after Ezra is well....Ezra and is kind of a little disruptive. But Kanan didn’t expect his son’s teacher to be so...pretty? But there is a time and place for flirting and this is not it. However, Ezra notices how his dad keeps asking about his teacher to the point where Ezra gets in trouble on purpose just so Kanan will talk with Hera...it doesn’t work at first, but finally Hera is like, “I don’t know if you are the best guardian for Ezra.” And Kanan is just like, “Are you kidding me? That kid has been through so much pain and hurt and I’m the only one who cared enough to take care of him. I have to work two jobs to get by, and I have stayed up dozens of nights when he has been sick or had nightmares. I never asked for him, but he’s turned out to be the best thing that’s happened to me. How dare you accuse me of not caring for my own son!” Which honestly takes Hera by surprise, and she decides to keep an eye on Ezra in school and ask Kanan about his life at home to see why Ezra is acting this way. But that results in them meeting outside of school so when Ezra sees that, he starts acting much better. And finally Kanan asks him about it and Ezra is just like. “You like her, but you weren’t talking with her so...I wanted to make sure y’all could talk” and Kanan just stares at him and starts laughing. And he has to tell Hera and it’s kind of awkward, but they end up laughing it off. That is until it’s been a few weeks since they last met and Hera realizes she misses his company more than she would like to admit....
Who’s the writer and who’s the editor?
Hmmm, could be either but I’m thinking Kanan as a writer and Hera as the editor. Because she can tell this guy has a lot to say, and it’s good but the grammar and the way it is pulled of it just off and not the best. But not only that, the story he is writing seems so...sad, a kind of sad that no one could write without feeling it themselves. So she edits and gives advice of how to change it, all the while wondering what happened to him. I’m not sure how this one would continue...but...that was fun...xD
