“Just you watch!” Roman would say in a definite sort of voice that he always got when someone started badmouthing Divination, which prompted Logan and Patton shared a look, “Dee Ekans is going to end up a Death Eater!”
And if one watched for several more years, and kept that sort of conversation in their mind as they did, they would see that Roman Prince had been right.
And if one did not know anything about the conflict between Virgil Storm and Dee Ekans, they would be inclined to believe that Dee had always been a vile sort of fellow and that there was no other outcome for the boy born into a pureblood family that favored dark magic, but for him to join the rest of his family in their attempts promote the Dark Lady and that he and Virgil had been destined to hate each other from the start.
And if one did not know their facts, one would, of course, come to the perfectly reasonable conclusion that it had always been this way.
(aka, a plot several years in the making comes apart and Virgil finds himself on the wrong end of Roman’s wand with answers he can’t give.)
What? Me? With a new au in the making when I still have a billion others? Listen no one ever said I had self control.
